To say running back Christian McCaffrey has been a difference-maker since joining the San Francisco 49ers would be an understatement. In his short time with the franchise, the versatile back has produced at a level reserved only for a handful of Hall of Famers.Â
During the 49ers 31-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving Day, McCaffrey found the end zone twice in the first half, giving him 26 touchdowns in 22 games with the 49ers. In the Super Bowl era (since 1967), only two players have 26 or more TDs through their first 22 games with a franchise – McCaffrey and wideout Randy Moss (27) in 2008 with the New England Patriots, per Stathead.Â
In the history of the NFL beyond the Super Bowl era, Jim Brown joins Moss as the only other player who has posted more scores than McCaffrey, tallying 27 touchdowns in his first 22 games with the Cleveland Browns. Â Â Â
